Central Office EFI Engineer
Company Overview:
interBay Technologies is a telecommunications installation company that provides telecom equipment installation services. We are an AT&T OTV installation vendor in the Chicago market area. We also provide installation work for CLEC, ILEC, Cellular and Data Center companies throughout the Midwest. Interbay has been in business for 25 years and is headquartered in Huntley IL (Chicago area). We have fulltime installation projects in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and the bordering states.

We are currently searching for Full-Time Central Office Engineer in the Midwest who is capable of performing all the Engineering functions associated with Level III & IV with respect to additions/removals associated with Common Systems Equipment. This includes a more advanced knowledge of hardware construction, cabling, wiring, and electronics testing to a very basic knowledge with training provided. Candidates must be able to perform job functions with little supervision and with a high degree of proficiency and accuracy.

Detail Engineer
The Interbay Technologies Detail Engineer will perform the preparation of the Detail Engineering package in support of the customer (AT&T & Brightspeed) provided request for work.
The Detail Engineer will be responsible to complete the following functions:
- Write the Detail Specification for the equipment installation projects.
- The engineer will update all customer specific data bases as required including:
- VIPS
- MOBILITY VRF/TEO
- EJF
- AOTS
- TABDB
- EIU
- MIC (CANOPI/IDIS/GRANITE)
- FRAMEMATE – MAIN DISTG FRAME
- IQGEO
- Any other appropriate applications.
- The engineer will create and upload to EJF or IQGEO the maintenance window MOP (when required).
- The engineer will compile all pertinent Detail spec; database updates, drawings and MOPs load the documents to the installation field folder and submit the completed field folder to the installation manager when completed.
- The engineer will provide support to the installation crew as needed to complete the installation.
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates will have 2-3 years of recent central office engineering experience.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and must pass a Background Check and Drug Test.
